The boat is pretty easy to make. You can download the template here. All you need to do is to print it out and follow the instructions. You can even glue on the paper template onto a card stock to a sturdy model.

What you need:

  • A printed template (Download the template) (https://www.thetoymaker.com/Toypages/41Windboat/WINDBOATS.pdf)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Card stock (optional)

Let’s have a look at the step-by-step procedure to make these boats.

Start by printing and cutting out your template. The template has two different boats. Cut out both of them.

Fold across the dotted lines.

Glue the white-coloured tabs to finish the deck of the boat.

Now take the sail cut out and fold over the dotted line backward. Fold the tabs A and B on the sail of the boat and glue them on the space provided on the deck.

That’s it. You are now ready with your wind boats.

Place these on the floor or a flat surface and blow wind to make the boats move. Make some and have a fun time with your kids racing these.
