Christmas Flashcards – 25 Christmas Words to Learn
This particular printable was on my To-Do list for quite some time. I am glad I could complete this on time for Christmas at least this year.
When Siri was young, I used to write down the Christmas words on a piece of cardboard, and she used to match them with the ornament, or the Christmas tree. As I was working, I never had the same to make such flashcards. But, now that she is grown up and I have a little time, I really wanted to make these Christmas word flashcards for the other moms, who are looking for something like but don’t have the time to make them.

I will make a few worksheets in the next few days that can be used along with these flashcards. You can print these and cut them. Once the child starts to recognize, you can use real accessories, etc, and make it an activity. This way it is indeed quite a lot of fun.

For example, the child can show a tree once you pull out the Christmas tree card..likewise, you can use it for tinsel, ornament, hot chocolate, hat, candy canes or even to recognize the colors green and red. You can show the picture of a candy cane and let the child pick it up and place it on the tree. Try it out!
Let’s start this December with some colorful Christmas Flashcards. The flashcards can be used in different ways, and along with other Christmas Worksheets I will be uploading in the coming days.
These Christmas Flashcards are great teaching aids and can help kids review vocabulary, and you can even play various games like Pairs, or Snap by printing multiple copies. The 25 words that are included in this Christmas Flashcard Pack are,
Snowflake, Santa, Candy Cane, Ornament, Snowman, Lights, Tree, Mittens, Stocking, Present, Elf, Candle, Sleigh, Peppermint, Gingerbread Man, Bow, Reindeer, Hat, Cookie, Holly, Poinsettia, Bells, Sweater, Hot Chocolate, Wreath.
- The cards can be used for word walls and to play various vocabulary games.
- And, as there are just two flashcards per page, they are really big and easy for the little hands to hold. You can even laminate these cards for future use.
- You can even punch holes on one side, and use a binder ring to keep them together.
